What is Panther Camp?

Panther Camp is a great way for you to meet other new students before you start your FIU college experience. Panther Camp 2010 will take place August 11-13, 2010 or August 18-20, 2010. If you enjoy having fun, meeting exciting people and love to take advantage of a great opportunity then Panther Camp is for you!

What can you expect at camp?

• Meet 120 other freshman in a large and small group setting
  
• Meet important FIU faculty, staff, and students
• Participate in fun activities & team builders
• Learn tips and tricks on how to become a successful student
• Learn about the various traditions here at FIU
• Learn how to overcome your weaknesses, and discover your strengths
• Learn how to become a leader & the various leadership opportunities FIU has to offer

When is Panther Camp?
Due to the popularity of Panther Camp, we offer two identical sessions.  Participants needs only attend one of the two.  The first session is August 11th-13th and the second session will is August 18th -20th.

Where is Panther Camp?
Panther Camp takes place at Lake Placid Camp and Conference Center in Lake Placid, FL (http://lakeplacidcampandconferencecenter.com/). Accommodations are air conditioned, with bunk-bed style sleeping quarters. All cabins are carpeted and have indoor plumbing.
